Ahoj! Hello! My name is Anna Wysocki and I will be your American English Teaching Assistant for the 2021-2022 school year! I am from a small, rural town in upstate New York where I lived with my parents and younger sister: it is actually quite a bit smaller than Litomyšl. I graduated from Smith College, which is in Massachusetts, in May of 2020, with a degree in political science and environmental science & policy. I am an avid sports lover and I love to do things that involve staying active and exploring nature. While in high school, I played soccer, basketball, and lacrosse, and then I continued to play lacrosse in college. Some of my hobbies include yoga, hiking, and taking care of plants! I also love thrift shopping, listening to music, playing with animals, and simply spending time with family and friends. When I found out that I had received a Fulbright scholarship to come to the Czech Republic and teach English, I was so ecstatic that I almost didn’t believe it. Now I am here and sometimes still can’t believe it. But I am here to experience new traditions and embrace new opportunities.
I am so excited and grateful to be here, experiencing the Czech culture, and I cannot wait to meet all of you! Please do not hesitate to reach out if you’d like to plan any sort of get together: I’m open for (basically) everything! I’m looking forward to starting the school year! :)
